Cara's mother, Wendy Chadwick, passed away at the age of 51. During her lifetime, she had been unable to realize her wish of exploring the globe, as she dedicated herself to raising five children as a single parent. Melia carefully placed her mother’s ashes, along with a heartfelt handwritten note, into a sealed bottle before releasing it into the ocean.
