The theft took place at the Aldi store in Glascote Road on Wednesday, February 26, at around 2pm. A woman shopping at the supermarket had her purse taken while inside the shop. The purse had £70 in cash and a gift card inside. The man is white and pictured with short brown hair with blonde highlights. He is clean-shaven and is wearing glasses. He is wearing a black, zip-up jacket over a button-up cardigan and a white shirt. He is also wearing light blue jeans and brown shoes. The purse theft took place at the Aldi store in Glascote Road in Tamworth (Image: Google ) In issuing the appeal a spokeswoman for Staffordshire Police said: “We are appealing for information after a woman had her purse stolen while shopping in a supermarket in Tamworth. “We were called at 3.30pm on Wednesday 26 February to the Aldi store on Glascote Road. “The victim said she realised her purse had been taken while she was shopping in store at around 2pm. “The purse contained around £70 in cash and a gift card.” Get the latest BirminghamLive news direct to your inbox The statement continued: “We are currently investigating and have obtained CCTV footage from the supermarket of an individual we would like to speak to in connection with the theft.
