The only problem is Klopp, who spent nine years at Anfield, would have renege on his previous wish for Trent Alexander-Arnold if their reunion is to become a reality. ‌ All season long Alexander-Arnold's future has been a source of debate with his Liverpool contract ticking down amid the possibility of a free transfer to the Bernabeu. The latest report from Spanish outlet COPE claim that an agreement between player and suitor is 'done'. They claim this would be regardless of any plans Real have in the pipeline to change their manager. After exiting the Champions League this week, Carlo Ancelotti's tenure appears unstable as Klopp becomes the latest star name linked with taking over. Article continues below But the German, speaking after starting his new job with Red Bull in January, actually spoke of his hope for Alexander-Arnold to stay with his boyhood club.
