Have you ever seen someone pour beer into an elephant's trunk? This shocking act sparked outrage online after it was posted by a tourist in Kenya, and the internet is buzzing with disbelief!

Investigations are underway against a Spanish tourist who blatantly violated wildlife ethics by pouring beer into the trunk of a bull elephant named Bupa. The man, known on Instagram as @skydive_kenya, initially shared the shocking moment on his profile but quickly deleted the video after being inundated with backlash from animal lovers around the globe.

The incident took place at the Ol Jogi Conservancy in Laikipia County, a sanctuary renowned for its dedication to wildlife conservation. In the now-infamous clip, the man is seen drinking from a beer can before pouring the remaining contents into Bupa's trunk, all while captioning the video with a cheeky nod to the beer brand, Tusker.

Though this outrageous act happened last year, it resurfaced recently after the video went viral, prompting a wave of condemnation on social media platforms. The Ol Jogi Wildlife Conservancy responded with a formal statement, acknowledging the resurfaced video and expressing their disappointment. “Bupa has lived at Ol Jogi for many years, and this behavior is unacceptable, dangerous, and completely against our values,” they declared.

The sanctuary's staff emphasized their commitment to the well-being and dignity of the animals in their care, stating, “We take matters like this extremely seriously and cannot allow such behavior.” A staff member lamented the incident, telling the BBC, “This should never have happened. We're a conservation, and we can't allow that to happen.”

But it gets worse: in another video, the same unidentified tourist was spotted feeding carrots to rhinos at the nearby Ol Pejeta Conservancy, where he also broke the rules by touching the animals. Dylan Habil from the sanctuary commented, “He was not supposed to touch the rhinos because they are not pets.” The overall message is clear: wildlife should never be treated as toys for human entertainment.

This incident raises serious questions about tourist behavior in wildlife sanctuaries, emphasizing the need for stricter regulations to protect these magnificent creatures. It's a stark reminder that our actions can have far-reaching consequences, especially in the delicate balance of nature.
