Spain appeals for many reasons, from its sunnier climes, stunning beaches and delicious food to its pretty cities and lush countryside. ‌ Ahead of what is expected to be another busy summer for international travel, we've taken a look at the entry requirements for Spain for anyone travelling on a UK passport. ‌ And you may be required to show certain additional documents on arrival - or risk being turned away. According to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), as well as showing a valid passport UK travellers may also need to show a return or onward ticket and/or proof of valid travel insurance. Article continues below You may also need to show that you have enough money for your stay, with this amount varying depending on where you are staying. Border officials may also ask to see proof of accommodation. This could be a hotel booking or proof of address if you're staying at a property you own. Article continues below Alternatively, this may be an invitation or proof of address if staying with a third party, friends or family, such as a ‘carta de invitation’ completed by your hosts, the Foreign Office says.
