Police were called to the junction of Islington and St Anne's Street at around 8.20pm on Wednesday, April 30. The force incident manager for Merseyside Police confirmed officers were called to reports of a man lying in the road having fallen off a wall. He has since been taken to hospital for assessment. The nature of any injuries are yet to be confirmed. ‌ A cordon was put in place on St Anne's Street while emergency services dealt with the incident.
