It’s telling that one of the first things Mark Landau and Raphael Lamm plan to do if their funds management firm L1 Capital succeeds in merging with Platinum Asset Management is step down, not up. The pair, who started L1 in 2007, currently serve as the firm’s joint managing directors and chief investment officers.
