It's the talk of the sports world. What the hell is going on with Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson? 4 Belichick (L) and Hudson (R) have been in the news for strange occurrences in recent weeks Credit: Getty Coming off the heels of an incredibly awkward interview on CBS Mornings that saw Hudson interrupt Belichick's interview multiple times and shut down certain questions, many questioned the dynamic between the UNC head football coach and Hudson. What is going on? Nobody really knows, but that didn't stop Stephen A. Smith and the First Take crew from trying to answer it. Except for Ryan Clark, who inexplicably and humorously walked off the set as he wanted nothing to do with the conversation. "That's where RC exits off the stage," Clark said as he walked off. "I just watched the interview," Louis Riddick pleaded innocently. "Yeah, I've got nothing to add," host Molly Qerim said. Neither of them really wanted to engage in the topic either, as they looked like they wanted to follow Clark off the set as well. That is of course when Smith stepped up, in typical Smith fashion. "Nobody else needs to say it, I'll say it," Smith began. 4 He walked off the First Take set after hearing Stephen A's words Credit: X@_MLFootball 4 Clark wanted no part of the Belichick-Hudson conversation Credit: X/@PAHRDUVE 4 Clark took himself off the set to hide during the conversation Credit: X/@PAHRDUVE "You're a grown man, if somebody asks you a question and you don't want to answer it, then don't answer it. "You spent 20 years not answering questions you didn't want to answer. "We don't need somebody else telling us you're not answering something. That's all." Belichick has since released a statement on what happened during the interview. “I agreed to speak with CBS Sunday Morning to promote my new book, ‘The Art of Winning — Lessons from My Life in Football,’” Belichick said. “Prior to this interview, I clearly communicated with my publicist at Simon & Schuster that any promotional interviews I participated in would agree to focus solely on the contents of the book. Bill Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson visibly stunned by Snoop Dogg joke about age gap “Unfortunately, that expectation was not honored during the interview. I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book. "After this occurred several times, Jordon [Hudson], with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion. "She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track. Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021. “The final eight-minute segment does not reflect the productive 35-minute conversation we had, which covered a wide range of topics related to my career. "Instead, it presents selectively edited clips and stills from just a few minutes of the interview to suggest a false narrative — that Jordon was attempting to control the conversation — which is simply not true.” CBS News issued a statement of rebuttal on Wednesday. "When we agreed to speak with Mr. Belichick, it was for a wide-ranging interview," a CBS News spokesperson said in a statement. "There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation. This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was released." If you had told someone two years ago that Bill Belichick had to release a statement to explain how he and his 24-year-old girlfriend met, while he begins his first year as head football coach at the University of North Carolina, they would have called you crazy. Yet here we are. Well, everyone except for RC. He clearly wants no part of this.
