'If he stays on his feet he'll be tough to beat' - Liam Headd answers the burning questions on a day packed with quality

What's the big story? After two falls at Cheltenham and Aintree, Constitution Hill is attempting to get back on the winning trail for Nicky Henderson in the Boodles Champion Hurdle at Punchestown (6.40 ). He was a perfect ten from ten before the spring festivals, but his 100 per cent record took a couple of blows and connections will be hoping to end the season on a high. There is one significant change for the Michael Buckley-owned eight-year-old. With regular rider Nico de Boinville ruled out for the foreseeable future due to injury, James Bowen has been called up to ride Constitution Hill for the first time. The task won't be easy, but he is the one his five rivals have to beat on ratings. If he stays on his feet, he'll be tough to beat. State Man , who looked to have the Champion Hurdle wrapped up at Cheltenham before his dramatic final-flight fall, is his chief rival and seeks a hat-trick of victories in this race. Golden Ace was the beneficiary of State Man's fall when winning the big one and also takes her chance, while course-and-distance winner Kargese can't be ruled out. What about the other Grade 1? The Champion Novice Hurdle (6.05 ) is an intriguing contest and the market is struggling to separate Gordon Elliott's The Yellow Clay and the Willie Mullins-trained Final Demand . They finished second and third respectively behind The New Lion in the Turners' Novices Hurdle at Cheltenham and on that form it's very hard to split them as they both chalked up a winning sequence before that defeat. Some of Mullins' second and third strings have been producing the goods at Punchestown this week, so Aintree third Funiculi Funicula is worth a look after that career-best effort, while Colm Murphy and JP McManus team up with Lovely Hurling , who impressed when beating a whole host of subsequent scorers at Naas in February. Tripoli Flyer , Mr Percy and Queensbury Boy all bring recent winning form into the race and can't be overlooked. Who wins the Jockey Club Stakes (4.50 Newmarket)? Things did not go to plan for Bellum Justum in the Group 3 John Porter at Newbury, but it was his first run after a long break and he should come forward for that. Fast conditions seem to suit the four-year-old, who was beaten only a neck by subsequent Classic winner Jan Brueghel on quick ground over this trip at Goodwood in August. He's also a course winner and can take advantage of the small field. Bellum Justum 16:05 Newmarket View Racecard Jky: Oisin Murphy Tnr: Andrew Balding What's the best bet of the day? Son Of Sarabi caught my eye when behind Norman's Cay in the Brocklesby at Doncaster, and he can go one better in the 5f novice at Goodwood (1.25 ). The Cable Bay colt ran a huge race at 25-1 on that occasion when travelling strongly before producing a powerful turn of foot. He was unlucky to be pipped on the line.
