More info Papa John's has temporarily closed a restaurant in Cornwall along with 12 others across the South West after a review, the company has confirmed. The American pizza restaurant chain has taken the decision after reviewing the performance of the franchised outlets. A restaurant in Newquay is among the closures, along with three others in Devon including Exeter, Plymouth, Barnstaple and Torbay. A Papa John's spokesperson said: "We hold all our restaurants to the highest standards and expect our franchisees to operate with integrity and in line with our values. Following a thorough review, we have ended our relationship with this franchisee. "While the stores are temporarily closed, we are working to secure new ownership and reopen as soon as possible. Our priority is delivering quality pizza and a great experience for our customers, while supporting our teams through this transition.” The company did not confirm how many jobs would be lost but said it was its firm intention for the stores to reopen when a new franchisee had been found.
