Megyn Kelly Slams Jennifer Lopez: Is She Being Too Harsh on J.Lo's Concert Performance?

Can you believe that Megyn Kelly just threw some serious shade at Jennifer Lopez's latest concert performance? It’s hard to imagine someone taking such a strong stance against a superstar like J.Lo, but Kelly decided to make her feelings known, and the internet is buzzing!
On July 21, during her show on SiriusXM, Megyn Kelly shared a clip from a recent J.Lo concert. The pop diva is currently captivating audiences across Europe with her 'Up All Night: Live in 2025' tour, and in the clip, she can be seen dancing suggestively alongside three male backup dancers to her 2011 hit, 'I’m Into You,' featuring Lil Wayne. Kelly didn’t hold back in her commentary, writing on X (formerly Twitter), "So she’s a soft porn star now,” in response to the video, which someone had captioned, “55 year old Jennifer Lopez ‘performing.'” She further added, “Great choices!”
It's no secret that Jennifer Lopez has always been known for her sultry performances. Anyone who’s ever caught her live knows that dancing has been the fabric of her career for decades. Just think back to her unforgettable opening number at the American Music Awards this past May, where she dazzled audiences with a choreography-packed routine set to some of the biggest hits of 2024-25. After all, we’re talking about the same Jennifer Lopez whose 'Booty' was a Billboard Hot 100 sensation back in 2014, showcasing her impressive dance skills and captivating on-stage presence.
However, it seems like Megyn Kelly has never really been part of Lopez’s fan club. At a rally for President Trump earlier this year, she even joked about how she woke up feeling like J.Lo, but quickly followed it up with a jab at the singer's political affiliations, saying, “Speaking of J. Lo, how happy are you her candidate lost? It’s so delightful.” In June, she dedicated a segment of her show, and even wrote an entire online essay, criticizing a “desperate” bodysuit that Lopez wore during her performance at the 2025 World Pride Festival in Washington, D.C.
But Kelly's criticisms don’t stop with J.Lo. Last year, she targeted Usher for his Super Bowl halftime show, expressing her relief that her kids weren’t exposed to “anyone’s vag” while waiting for the game to start, referencing J.Lo and Shakira's performance from the 2020 Super Bowl, which she perceived as too provocative. Despite Kelly’s memories, there was no nudity during that halftime show, showing that her take might be a bit exaggerated.
After finishing her European tour, Lopez is set to return to Las Vegas for a new residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace beginning December 30, with performances lined up through March 2026. This new stint follows her earlier residency, 'Jennifer Lopez: All I Have,' which ran from 2016 to 2018 at the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood.
