An unexpected object was hurled from the stands, landing on the court at Crypto.com Arena right near Fever guard Sophie Cunningham. Imagine the surprise! As officials paused the game, Sparks guard Kelsey Plum stepped in and kicked the object off the floor, allowing the action to continue.

After the game, Sparks coach Lynne Roberts didn’t hold back her frustration. “I think it’s ridiculous. It’s dumb. It's stupid,” she expressed to reporters. “It’s also dangerous, and player safety is No. 1. Respecting the game—all those things. I think it’s really stupid. That's all I'm going to say.”
