The BBC has hinted that the show will feature "the best songs and chat for a Saturday", with Zoe sharing her favourite tracks and promising "lots of laughs" as she connects with her listeners. Article continues below Helen Thomas, Head of Radio 2, announced the news in February, saying: "Zoe is one of the UK's most loved presenters, so I'm thrilled to announce that she has a new home on Radio 2 on Saturday lunchtimes, plus she'll be hosting various specials for us throughout the year." Zoe will also host a special VE Day concert on Monday, featuring performances by Samantha Barks, Fleur East, John Newman, Victor Ray, Freya Ridings, and Keala Settle. Zoe shared her excitement about her upcoming celebratory role, remarking: "I'm truly honoured to play a small role in the celebrations of such a momentous occasion.
