BTS Reunites to Celebrate 12th Anniversary Following Military Service

Last weekend marked a momentous occasion for fans and members of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, as all seven members reunited to celebrate their 12th anniversary. This gathering came after the successful completion of their mandatory military service, a significant milestone for both the group and their dedicated fanbase, known as ARMY.
In honor of their debut anniversary, the yearly celebration known as “BTS Festa” was organized, spanning over two weeks and featuring a combination of in-person and online activities. According to a press release, this year's festivities attracted an impressive 60,000 visitors. Fans flooded the INTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, South Korea, on the 13th and 14th of June, signaling a remarkable increase in scale and enthusiasm compared to previous years.
The 2025 BTS Festa showcased around 20 booths that offered a variety of DIY activities, photo opportunities, and interactive experiences aimed at engaging fans. Additional photo zones were set up along the picturesque Ilsan Lake Park, enhancing the celebratory atmosphere and allowing fans to capture memorable moments.
Coinciding with this vibrant celebration was the conclusion of member J-Hope's solo world tour, titled “Hope on the Stage,” which included a two-night encore concert in Goyang. The first night of the concert on June 13 was remarkable as all seven BTS members made a special appearance. Jin and Jung Kook joined J-Hope on stage, delivering electrifying performances of their solo tracks: “Don’t Say You Love Me” and “Seven (feat. Latto),” as well as the BTS song “Jamais Vu.” This collaboration illuminated the bond between the members and their unwavering connection with fans.
This enchanting show and the anniversary celebration coincided with a busy week for the group, as members RM, V, Jimin, and Jung Kook were discharged from their military service earlier that week. They rejoined their fellow members J-Hope and Jin, who had already completed their service. It is noteworthy that Suga is currently fulfilling his military duties as a social work personnel. While he participated in the festivities, he has not yet received his official discharge. However, BigHit Music, BTS’s label under the entertainment conglomerate Hybe, announced on Wednesday that he is nearing the completion of his service and is expected to be discharged soon.
Fans have eagerly awaited the group’s return from military service, and while each member has achieved individual success through various solo projects during the two-year enlistment period, the collective reunion signifies a new chapter for BTS. In October 2022, the group performed a massive concert titled “Yet to Come” in Busan, South Korea, in support of the city's bid for the 2030 World Expo. This concert drew a significant audience, with ARMY members traveling from all over the globe to attend. Shortly after this performance, BigHit Music announced that all seven members would embark on their military service journey, stating it was “the perfect time” and that the members felt privileged to serve their country.
