Shefali Jariwala, a prominent actor and model most celebrated for her role in the iconic music video "Kaanta Laga," has tragically passed away at the age of 42. Jariwala died in Mumbai late on Friday night, with her last rites held the following day amidst the presence of close family and friends.

Her husband, Parag Tyagi, hurriedly took her to Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Andheri, where medical personnel declared her dead upon arrival. The circumstances surrounding her death remain uncertain, as the official cause of death has yet to be confirmed. In a statement issued by the Mumbai Police, it was revealed that an autopsy was conducted, but the findings regarding the cause of death have been classified as “reserved.” The body has since been sent to the Cooper Hospital for a detailed post-mortem examination. Given the unclear nature of her death, the police have registered an accidental death report (ADR).

"The autopsy has been performed, but the opinion on the cause of death is still pending. Based on preliminary information, it appears to be a natural death, and there has been no indication of foul play," a police official informed reporters.

In light of recent allegations, it appears that Jariwala may have been undergoing anti-ageing treatments that involved the usage of Vitamin C and Glutathione—substances often utilized for skin lightening and detoxification. Sources from the police, as reported by NDTV, suggest that the actress took her usual medications on the night of her death and had received an injection of an anti-ageing drug earlier that afternoon. Following these treatments, her blood pressure reportedly dropped significantly, leading to her developing shivers, which prompted her family to rush her to the hospital.

It has also emerged that she had been fasting throughout the day due to a puja conducted at her residence, which may have exacerbated her health issues, particularly considering the consumption of pills on an empty stomach. The timeline of her health decline indicates that she experienced severe symptoms between 10 and 11 PM on June 27.

In the course of the ongoing investigation, a forensic team has collected several items from Jariwala’s apartment as part of their inquiry. Additionally, statements from various individuals who were in contact with her have been recorded to provide further context on the events leading up to her untimely demise.

Shefali Jariwala first became a household name in the early 2000s, captivating audiences with her bold and glamorous presence in the remix music video "Kaanta Laga." This breakthrough role earned her the title of "The Kaanta Laga Girl" and she has since been regarded as a trailblazer in the remix music genre. Besides her music video fame, she made a notable appearance in the 2004 film "Mujhse Shaadi Karogi," which featured Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

In addition to her film career, Jariwala's presence in reality television expanded her fan base. She gained significant recognition through her participation in the dance reality show "Nach Baliye" with her husband, as well as on the popular show "Bigg Boss 13." Her entry into the Bigg Boss house attracted considerable attention due to her past relationship with fellow contestant and late actor Sidharth Shukla, with whom she had dated over a decade ago. Despite their history, Jariwala maintained that mutual respect prevailed between them throughout their time on the show.

As the investigation continues into the details surrounding her death, Shefali Jariwala's legacy and impact on the entertainment industry remain deeply felt by her fans and colleagues.
