Top barbers loved by Manchester City stars announces 'exciting' news It's also a firm favourite with Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez RPB, which is loved by Manchester City stars, is opening its first barbershop outside of Manchester City Centre (Image: RPB/Instagram: @RPB_NQ ) A popular barbershop in the Northern Quarter loved by Rúben Dias is to open a third location and its first outside of the city centre very soon. The owners behind RPB, which has two shops in the Northern Quarter, have announced they will be opening a new site in Prestwich later this year. They will be taking over the former Lorena's Boutique unit on Bury New Road. ‌ Article continues below The barbers, which is fronted by Ross Parlane, has been frequented in the past by a number of current and former Manchester City stars. Alongside Ruben, the likes of Bernardo Silva, Mateo Kovacic, Joško Gvardiol, Joao Cancelo and Julián Alvarez have all visited the shop in the past. Ross has also cut hair for a number of celebrities, including Strictly Come Dancing’s Gorka Marquez and DMA’s star Johnny Took. The barbers started life in 2015 with its original Tib Street base, before adding a second location two years later on the nearby Newton Street. ‌ RPB owner Ross Parlane with Manchester City and Portugal star Bernardo Silva (Image: RPB/Instagram: @RPB_NQ ) Posting about its new third location, Ross wrote on social media: “Exciting news, everyone! After an amazing 10 Years in the Northern Quarter, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re opening a new location! A different twist - not only amazing haircuts but a whole new concept.” RPB’s new Prestwich base, which has been created alongside interior design studio Sonday Studios, will expand on their barbershop offering alongside a new café space. It will join neighbouring venues like the Railway and Naturalist pub, which is situated on the opposite road, alongside the newly-opened Rudy’s and Gail’s. ‌ The news of RPB’s arrival in Prestwich was enough to get loyal customers excited. One person commented: “Amazing mate congratulations." Another said: "Yes! Well done mate, congratulations." One other wrote: "HUGE congrats bro. Smashing it."
