'He has a brilliant chance of recording a sixth course win' - Maddy Playle answers Saturday's big questions

What's the big story? It's all about variety on Easter Saturday. It's time for the veterans to shine once again at Haydock and there's a £100,000 final (3.15 ) for some of our old favourites. The race includes three-time Grade 2 winner Eldorado Allen , last year's winner Numitor and regular scorers The Flier Begley , Dubai Days , Glynn and Flic Ou Voyou . Elsewhere, the same prize pot is on offer for the Queen's Cup (3.35 ) on the Flat at Musselburgh. Last year's St Leger sixth, Wild Waves , makes his seasonal reappearance against Align The Stars , who completed a hat-trick at Goodwood last summer. Course specialist Wise Eagle , Fighting Fifth runner Kihavah and Emiyn all make the switch to the level after running over jumps. Who wins the Veterans' Final ? It's a seriously competitive race, with plenty of runners accruing wins and a decent amount of prize-money this season. There is no doubt Eldorado Allen has been given a chance by the handicapper, as he has been dropped 2lb for finishing down the field in the Topham at Aintree. Now on a mark of 143, his last success came in the 2022 Denman Chase when he was rated 155. However, he might not be the force of old and Le Milos is worth a second look at a much bigger price. The 2022 Coral Gold Cup winner put up a Racing Post Rating of 147 when last racing in veteran company. He will surely be cherry ripe in a bid to give Dan Skelton more prize-money in his battle for the British trainers' title against Willie Mullins. Gweedore absolutely loves Musselburgh, and he has a brilliant chance of recording a sixth course win in the Silver Arrow (2.25 ). Katie Scott's stalwart has been dropped 10lb by the handicapper in just four runs and showed a lot of his old zest when second to a progressive horse at the track last time. He's 7lb lower than when last successful and wears cheekpieces for the first time, which will give him a good chance of recapturing some of his old form. His chance is also helped by the absence of Waleefy. Gweedore 14:25 Musselburgh View Racecard Jky: Jason Hart Tnr: Katie Scott Who else catches the eye at Musselburgh? The Royal Mile (1.50 ) is usually won by a decent prospect, and Invited will bid to complete a hat-trick in the £30,000 race for George Boughey and David Egan after wins at Southwell and Kempton. The betting says he's got a good chance for a powerful team. Karl Burke, who won the race last year with Ice Max, is represented by Castle Stuart and Our Mighty Mo. The former was considered good enough to contest a Listed race last season, and although that didn't go to plan, he must be better than that. The Southwell winner Wiltshire Lad, who makes his first start for the in-form Andrew Balding having left Sir Michael Stoute and undergone a gelding operation, adds further spice to a compelling contest. I'd suggest a small each-way wager on We Dare To Dream , whose form was boosted earlier this week at Newmarket.
